Special Guest Saturday: Meet Sam!

hi! I’m Sam at @staxsonstaxs! I am a 7th grade ELA teacher, have two annoyingly wonderful labs,  and I live in a treehouse on the river. I’m an enneagram 7 and cannot survive without good coffee. You can also find me on “The Bookstagays” podcast that I cohost with Alex over @thebookadvocate.

Q: How did you come up with your IG handle?

A: Bahahaha I wish I remembered! I think I was just like, ya know what, I like stacksonstacks but it was already taken! I do remember wanting to have some “cool” name.

Q: How long have you had your account?

A: A year and a half! It’s insane how time flies!

Q: I followed your June hashtag, #gettinglitwithpride. Were you surprised by the response it received?

A: Omg, yes! I definitely did not expect the outcome! I am still In awe. I am so so grateful to all who joined in! It was such a beautiful experience to be able to see what “Pride” meant to different people.

Q: What's some advice you could give to some viewers who are struggling to "come out" to their loved ones?

A: Take deep breaths. There is no set time to “come out” so do not feel like you’re doing it wrong. There is no right way. You are wonderful and your story is completely yours, my friend.

Q: What has been the most exciting book mail you've received since joining bookstagram?

A: Omg! Let me tell ya! Ole Sassidy @ladies.getting.lit sent me a signed copy of City of Girls and truly it is my greatest treasure.

Q: Do you have a Goodreads account? If so, what's your reading challenge goal for this year?

A: I don’t! I am pitiful! I like to believe that my insta is my goodreads, honestly. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ I wish I were more dedicated.
