Special Guest Saturday: Meet Addie!

Addie works with children on the spectrum, but what she really wants to do is become an advocate for those who suffer from sexual trauma and addiction. Her favorite things to do when she's not reading are baking, going to the movies, swimming, attending concerts, singing, and hiking with her dogs! 

Q: When did you create your bookstagram?

A:  I created my bookstagram literally December 31st 2018, so it would be my New Years goal to track the amount of books I read.

Q: Anyone that follows your account knows you read an insane amount of books per year! Can you share any tips for fellow readers to increase their own tally?

A: So everyone always asks how I do it and how I manage to read. I swear to you, it’s my one talent. Everyone has one thing that they’re wickedly good at and reading is mine. It helps when you have insomnia so you’re up for long hours as well. In all honesty, practice every day and your reading will improve.

Q: What's been your favorite book of 2020 so far?

A: My favorite book of 2020 has probably been If You Want To Make God Laugh, and Bianca’s other book. She’s an author who really goes out of her way to interact with me on Instagram and I really appreciate that; she’s also a wicked good author.

Q: Do you have a book that impacted your life once you read it?

A: The biggest book for me was The Last Mrs. Pharrish. It dealt with relationship and sexual violence in a way I’ve never seen before.
