Mid-Year Book Tag!

I have been blogging for a little over a year now and this is the first time I am participating in a bookish tag! I have managed to read 171 books so far this year and thought this would be a great way to recap some of my most memorable ones!

Since reading The Night Swim by Megan Goldin, I have been nonstop recommending all my book buddies to try obtaining an ARC of this one, or adding it to their shelves once it drops early August! In case you want to read my review, click here.

This book has been on my radar since it drop late April of this year; I've heard nothing, but good things and can't wait to get my hands on a copy!

I'm a huge House of Night fan, so when the Cast duo announced they were doing a spin-off series I was over the moon! Sadly, July 7th will bring readers the final book in the spin-off.

I was so excited to read this book that I kept trying to request a copy everywhere and finally lucked out on Edelweiss+. However, this one was a huge letdown for me; I felt like it could've been way better had the author left out all the extra characters and focused more on the characters mentioned in the book's synopsis.

If it had not been the choice for a book club's buddy read then I probably wouldn't have picked this one up; literary fiction is not one of my favorite/typical genres to read, but I really enjoyed this one!

This one has continued to received mixed reviews, but it was a 4 star read for me! I'm a huge fan of unreliable narrators and thrillers with non-stop action, so if those two things suit your fancy too then you will want to give this one a read!

I committed a book sin: I watched the television show before reading the book. 🙈 I must say that I found the book to be less exciting as the show, but that the show covered the book's contents fairly well!

This has been my favorite Kristin Hannah book that I've read to date! I did an IGTV episode about this one, which you can view here.

I absolutely fell in love with this book's cover and the synopsis was just the cherry on top! You can read my thoughts on this title here.

One word: GRAHAM! 😍

I recently scored Dot Hutchison's entire Collector series for Kindle for under eight bucks! After reading the first book, The Butterfly Garden, she has stolen the spot of new favorite author.

Romance novels are my least favorite genre to read, but after continuously being recommended to read this one from a fellow bookstagrammer I finally relented and couldn't be more thankful that I took the leap of faith! This one was a real treat!
